Tiffi is an absolute flickr stalwart - artistic, knowledgeable, friendly. She has an enormous output of high-calibre images in a range of analogue and digital techniques. She also has a huge array of subject matters, but regardless what she shoots, she always brings out something new. A recent photograph of Tiffi's shows a small concrete bridge over a large dyke. She chose to render this low-fidelity with a medium format camera (unorthodoxly) loaded with 35mm black and white film. The resulting image, sprocket holes showing, is a stunning portrayal which transcends the scope of mere documentation. From this almost mundane scene she creates instead a work of poetry with real depth. If you prefer your pictures exciting, provoking and astonishing - then, look no further!

Ah, my testimonial about Tiff and her work. Well, if you have seen her photos on flickr, what more can I really add? She has the talent and experience to take a photo of any subject and make it compelling for the viewer. What I love about her work is that she does not have one particular type of photo that she excels in. She excels with anything she composes in the viewfinders of her multitude of cameras. The whole world is her subject and she captures it with an eye that I can only dream of. I can easily get lost in her photo stream and have learned so much just from viewing her work. In addition to her obvious photographic talents, she is a wonderful and giving person and I am lucky to count her as a friend and photographic mentor. I had better stop here before she smacks me for being too mushy. ;)
