Here's the thing about Jen: I wish there were a lot more people like her. But since there aren't, I'm extra glad to know her. She's truly the knees of the bees. Her photos reveal endless creativity and an obvious love and appreciation for life. Her comments are treasures too. It's rare to come across such raw sincerity in someone's writing. Even when she's being sarcastic and witty, or just teasing (oh, she excels at teasing) (and is good at being teased back) you get a sense for an underlying kindness and depth of heart. In short, Jen has been one of my very favorite things about flickr.

I’ve been a proud fan of Jennifer’s work for over a year now-- and what an exciting and emotional ride its been! Its not just the superb work she has to offer as a skilled photographer, its the journey into her world that has made being her flickr friend so richly rewarding. I love her sense of humor and playfulness as well as the very serious side of her too that is so vivid and deep. And don’t even get me started on the tough side! No matter what the subject, her work reaches out and pulls you by your heart strings as she thrills you with her artistry. She’s one of those special people that makes you want to care, whether its forks, flowers or frogs. Jen draws you in with a lyrical touch and you truly do see life Thru Jen’s Eyes. Sometimes its funny and other times thoughtful or sad, but its always beautiful.

It seems that as soon as she posts a picture, there are 14 comments on it, without it even being put into any groups. That says a lot about her talent to please others. And, she is always quick to comment on others' photos, and always with something nice to say. It's great to be one of her Flickr friends. Edit - July 2008:It has been great over these months seeing Jen's craft growing and blossoming. Even though she just got a D300, she didn't really need it. She puts so much thought into her shots that they seem almost independent of the equipment used to take the shot and the processing used afterwards.

Jen 'sees' great opportunities for pictures where most of us (definitely me) would just miss it and pass by. She turns out picture after picture, not just of trips, but often from mostly around her house and they are masterpieces in all their simplicity. She opened up a new world for me of just using your eyes, not to worry and shoot. She is truly great and extremely creative. Do not miss her stream, watch it and learn.
