I first started learning the art of photography as a member of the 4-H club in the early 2000's. As a long time train and railroad enthusiast, my number one subject to photograph in my first couple years was trains. Over the years I began to embrace other subjects for photography from aviation to land/seascapes. Currently I simply enjoy photography as a hobby, but in the future I hope to attend classes and learn to take it at a more professional level.

Since I first got into photography, I've traveled to a wide variety of locations throughout the San Francisco bay area and Northern California. these places include downtown San Francisco, Santa Cruz and the Monterey Bay Area, the Niles Canyon and Roaring Camp railways and the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento. I've also paid several visits to Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Utah and most recently trips over seas to Ireland and Hawaii. Pictures of these outings can be seen in my albums and photostream. Several places I hope to visit in the future include Yosemitie National Park, Alaska, the US east coast and the narrow gauge steam railways of Colorado.

Aside from photography I'm also a very passionate sports fan. Growing up in the San Francisco bay area, my favorite teams are the San Francisco Giants, 49ers and Golden State Warriors.

I also have a fond interest in music, especially from the 60's, 70's and 80's. My favorite artists include The Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Journey and a long list of others. Occasionally I'll listen to Big Band artists like Glenn Miller. My favorite movies include the Avengers, Godzilla, the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars trilogies and any movie with planes and trains.
