My photography started by documenting hikes with an Instamatic as a teenager. The hikes were arduous and fulfilling, the photos largely worthless. Anymore, hikes rarely leave me out of sight of my vehicle, but - one hopes - my photography has improved. At any rate, I get more compliments now than I ever did to for walking 10 miles and I find I am less tired at the end of the day.

At the risk of getting too metaphysical, one aspect of being created in God's image I relate to is the human desire to create. Waiving the Divine and measuring myself against other photographers - I remain painfully aware of my limitations, but even so - on occasion - Heaven smiles and I comprehend the smallest part of His reflection, "it [is] good."

My intention is to share 5 pictures a week drawing from a backlog developed since I began shooting digitally in 2011. Like many photographers I am interested in learning which of those I have deemed presentable strike a chord with others.
