Drag to set position!
I'm an ex-pat Brit living in Darmstadt, Germany. I'm originally from Winchester, in Hampshire (South UK) and went to uni at the University of Birmingham, studying Physics and Space Research.
I'm now working at the European Space Operations Centre, part of the European Space Agency. I'm a Spacecraft Operations Engineer on ESA's Mars Express mission. Basically means I tend to the spacecraft's health as it goes round Mars taking pictures and readings.
Aside from that I really love taking pictures of anything and everything. Used to do a lot of photojournalism, working on student papers (Redbrick in Birmingham and Cherwell while on placement in Oxford) at university.
Got into photography after my parents bought me a little point-and-shoot digicam one Christmas. Got more into it working for Redbrick and eventually upgraded to a Fuji 602 prosumer camera. Finally got into the big league after buying a Nikon D70 towards the end of my third year at uni, in 2004. Since then have upgraded twice, first to the Nikon D80 and now using the excellent D90.
Great to hear any comments on my photos, how I could improve or just ones you like so I know what I'm doing right!
