Questions:

1. Is developing your own personal style important? Is this just a question of marketing or is there some other sense in which it is important?

2. Why is a photo worth more when it captures a very rare event or one that is somehow difficult to capture? Is it cheapened if the effect is photoshopped in? Why?

3. Is it true that creativity is something you can't teach? Are people who say this just suffering from a failure of imagination?

4. How strongly does the quality of a photographer's pictures depend on the quality of their kit? Why might a talented photographer and the marketing division of a camera manufacturer be expected to differ in the way they answer this question?

5. Viewing a photo does not equate to liking it. What factors other than a photo's artistic or social value contribute to its view count on Flickr?

6. Is it ethical to take a picture of someone without asking their permission? Is it ethical to post a picture of someone to a public forum without asking their permission?

7. Is it ethical to remove blemishes from faces? What about using Photoshop's liquify tool to make someone look thinner?

8. Talented artists are very well-positioned to influence social injustices. Is it admirable for an artist to remain apolitical or does having the capacity for influence give them an even greater responsibility to speak out?
