Woodlands, water and photographer of small things. Close ups, macro, abstracts, landscapes and scenic slices. Mostly you will find nature photos here, but when I lived in New Hampshire, I haunted many a colonial cemetery. Now I’m in Wisconsin those old cemeteries and stone walls are gone, likely to be replaced in my galleries by abandoned buildings and farmland.

Wildflowers, waterfalls, mushrooms and any critter that will hold still for me usually find their way into my catalog. Finding beauty in the undergrowth; showing what normally goes unseen is something I really love to do. My mind works in a mostly literal way, so what I do is largely documentary, but I do treat each image separately; processing it in the way that not only showcases the subject, but also fulfils my vision for the image.

My photography obsession comes and goes in phases, but I've been more or less into it since the early 80s. Got my first 35mm when I was 15 or so and haven't looked back (I still own it and it still works). I worked as a film processor for a while when I was employed by a retail camera chain and spent many happy hours in a real darkroom; it's a chemical thing.
