I'm absolutely obsessed with doll making. Though I have been sewing off and on for a long while, I did not realize my knack for it until after the birth of my first son. I was desperate to find a pick up and put down craft to satisfy my urge to create and was spending hours a day surfing the blogosphere while breast feeding the baby when I started coming across crafting blogs about sewing. I found a pattern, tried my hand at it and I was an instant addict. From there on out, I was constantly in the process of making patterns and sewing plush whenever I could find the time. Since the earliest days of the Patch, I have been through a lot and found myself raising two precious little ones on the ASD spectrum. Thankfully, I am back at the doll making craft and I have been coming up with new designs for the last few years. I am going public again with my designs and will be selling patterns in my Etsy shop soon. I will also be starting up a fresh new blog. I will keep you posted! The Whimsy Patch constantly has new creatures and dollies to reveal and I plan to upload these to my blog regularly along with stories about each piece. Be sure to check out my blog at www.thewhimsypatch.com and my Etsy shop at www.thewhimsypatch.etsy.com
I have also begun selling many of my doll patterns for you to make your own. Check out my Etsy shop to see what is available!
