I was born and raised on Long Island, NY and a teenager when I first discovered my passion for vintage sourcing and fabric research.

In 1981, I opened The Way We Wore retail boutique in San Francisco. In 1992 I closed the shop to focus on costuming and private sales. In May 2004, I relocated to Los Angeles and reopened the boutique to the public.

I am a partner in the Vintage Fashion Expo and former Board Member of the Textile Arts Council of the M.H. de Young Museum in San Francisco. I am also a member of the Costume Council of LACMA and the Costume Society of America.

The Way We Wore has been voted "Best of LA" by Los Angeles magazine two years in a row and has also been nominated as Fashion Retailer of the Year by the LA Fashion Awards.
