I'm passionate about astronomy and enjoy astrophotography (when I can get time to do it). I started in photography as a young teen using a Rolliecord (twin lens reflex camera) and eventually got a Canon AE-1 (a very heavily used camera). I became an apprentice to a professional photographer when I was 15 and began helping at weddings (doing what apprentices do... carrying gear, re-loading film magazines, holding lights, etc. and did this for many many years.)

Today I shoot using digital cameras (currently a Canon 5D Mark III & 5D IV) and do most of my astrophotography with a Canon 60Da (a special edition 60D which was designed specifically for astrophotography by modifying the internal filters so the camera is more sensitive to broad spectrum light including Hydrogen alpha light).
