Here I am, a year after I've gotten my account. Everything's different now.

I'm in a completely different city doing completely different things, yet some how there's a similar theme involved. Surrounding me on my desk are records, film canisters, light bulbs, books, hair products, girls clothes, and empty bottles of various things. My room truly reeks of incense, vodka, cheap perfume, gun powder and smoke from a couple sparklers. It's all the same as LA this morning. It's even sunny to day.

But things are different. I think the main difference between who I was in LA and who I am now in Portland has to do with my lack of shallowness. Being shallow and being a photographer go very very much hand and hand but you'll miss so much around you if you go around seeing just the surface aspects of things.

From now on in my photography I'm going to try to show the other things I see in people. Not just their Vogue beauty, but what makes them, them. People have more than just three physical dimensions. And I bet if I work hard enough, I can bring them out in true black and white.
