A wine collecting, philosophical, retired mountaineer! My interests in photography is related mostly to travel, both local and afar. I have an interest in industrial archaeology/history as well as all things wine! My wife is from Kathmandu so we have 000s of photos from Nepal and we are slowly building a personal favourites album from our many visits. We are regular visitors to France so you will see photos of vineyards, wine bars, wine tastings plus colourful markets.

Strictly speaking I have no idea how a camera works, how to control aperture, shutter speed, white balance or whatever. But I know what I see and like and have become quickly efficient at manipulating what the camera has taken to look like what I actually think I saw. I know this can make me a bit of a pariah ...... but ......
