I am a Film photographer. I feel that the new digital style of photography going mainstream really hinders the progress of young photographers. The instant feedback and perfect processing has cheapened this art, in the sense that these people who claim to be photographers, just take a picture of a garbage can in B&W or something like that. Film actually makes you learn about ISO and Shutter speeds and apetures and so on. I suppose you could learn about it through digital, but its still lacking.

I'd say that my biggest goal as a photographer is to take that one "Holy crap" photo, that no one can resist in saying that "its the best I've ever seen!"
