It started with two college students who were unwillingly seated next to each other on a flight for a study abroad trip to Istanbul, Turkey. Upon meeting, the guy secretly wanted a different travel companion and the girl was just hoping he wouldn’t ask for the window seat. Through our many journeys around the world, interactions with different people and humbling encounters, both together and apart, we came to an interesting understanding of good in this world.

We began to appreciate the simple good in our lives, our communities and the world. We began to think about how connected we all are to one another through the most basic and fundamental good in our world. Despite judgmental beginnings, we like to think our ability to connect as friends and with the world continues to grow.

We started this blog with a collection of 52 photos taken by us from around the world depicting our own images and stories of the simple good. We want to deepen this understanding of ‘good’ in not only our lives but yours as well, by expanding this discussion with all of you! Help us fill the world with good by submitting your perspectives.

So who were that guy and girl on the plane you ask?

Muffadal - crazy, amateur photographer, global problem solver, adventure sport junkie, disdain for conformity, and always interested in getting lost so that I can find my way again. I spent my college years going abroad a lot and learning about people and society. I’ve been fortunate enough to have lived, worked, studied or backpacked in more than 40 countries across the globe. I am passionate about using social entrepreneurship to help solve problems related to sustainable living and education; it will change the world. Drop him a line, he’s always up for a chat.

Priya – artist, world traveler, social entrepreneur, diversity/inclusiveness advocate, basketball enthusiast, dessert lover, chai drinker and overall curious wanderer. I’ve been fortunate enough to have traveled the world as a student, under the corporate scene and as a volunteer working under NGO’s. My experiences have inspired me in many ways in my life and have created a desire for me to continually learn more from every individual I come across. What are your experiences that have inspired you? Drop me a line. I want to learn from you!
