Hello there.

It took me quite a while to find the right moment and some words to cancel the impolite blankness of my profile.

Taking up photography meant starting to look at the world with different eyes. It meant noticing, seeking the small and fleeting, the translucent, almost invisible things, attempting to catch the colour and mood, approaching the omnipresent beauty. It made me feel like time wasn't invincible anymore, that I had found a way to stop it.

Over the years, photography has often been the one thing to keep me going, confronting and overcoming the lows. It brought light to the darkest moments, it helped me gather the pieces and put them back together.

It has always felt like catching a bit of beauty to leave behind.

Joining flickr equaled entering a vast and mesmerizing world. A place to find inspiration, friends, a lot of kindness, love, glimpses of places I had not even dreamed of.

There is so much talent and beauty around that the amazement never ceases.

Thank you for taking the time to have a look at my work.

Flickr abounds in macro shots of flowers and blossoms. Theria does that, too. But with her there is a decisive difference to that multitude of colors and the word for it is: poetry. Many of Theria's pictures have that tender magical power that brings time to a moment's halt. That's when you stop rushing through the endless streams of photos, pause, and listen with your eyes to a poem without words. A poem of small things. A poem of photograhy.
