Testimonials

As I write this I can scarcely believe that this will be only the third public fan-mail to Mrs. Thompson. As a UK admirer I really appreciate your particularly American slant on *wit*. Bravo, Mrs. Thompson, heaven holds a place for those who play.

I cannot believe I’ve not written this testimonial long before this moment. Theresa Thompson opened up a whole new world for me. I’m humble enough to admit that I will never reach the level of “articism” that she has achieved and continues to achieve. A wife and mother of two seem enough to keep anyone busy, yet she achieves goals in her world of art beyond what most of us envision for ourselves. The first photo that drew me to Theresa’s work was a retro Christmas card she did of her family. It may as well have been taken in 1955, as it seemed so real. Second, but not least, was her vision of a 50-60’s mom, serving brain for dinner. This was a feast for the eyes, no pun intended. I’ve seen her go from clown, to zombie, to Victorian beauty, all in one person. Theresa is able to envision a situation, be it serious or humorous, and bring the whole vision to light with professionalism. If she achieves nothing else in her photographic career, she has brought to me countless moments of entertainment and wondrous admiration of her work. As long as she continues to post her images, the National Geographics can stay on the shelf gathering dust.
