I joined Flickr in 2011, a decade ago. Time sure flies, doesn't it? I was pretty active at one time, but as the years progressed and various events consumed my life (the death of loved ones, one to cancer, a severe injury to my wife, Rachel, and so on), I found myself with little time to engage in photography, let alone Flickr. When I did get a chance to get my camera out, I just took pictures. Maybe I'd process a few for Facebook, but that was it.

Recently, Rachel and I took our first real vacation in years. With masks in pocket, we travelled to northern California and enjoyed the beautiful peace of the redwood forests. There I rediscovered my love for photography, one that I thought I'd lost amid the pain and crises of real life. As cliché as it sounds, rediscovering photography was like seeing again an old friend from your childhood.

As a result, many of the pictures you see on my photostream are older, even years old. I'm just now getting around to posting them. I hope you enjoy them. Peace,
