Alterity is an Electric Blues / Psychedelic Desert Rock Band from Denver.

An earthy, passionate blend of traditional and original electric juke joint & Detroit street corner delta blues flavored with the many roots music styles from the southern states of the USA.

What does Alterity mean ?

In the phenomenological tradition it is usually understood as the entity in contrast to which an identity is constructed, and it implies the ability to distinguish between self and not-self, and consequently to assume the existence of an alternative viewpoint.

As a band, ALTERITY is adapting this ideology to morph old school Electric Blues with elements of traditional heavy metal and psychedelic desert rock creating a mid tempo groove laden bass sound featuring heavily distorted guitars, melodic vocals, droning synthesizers and retro production techniques.
