I used to use Pentax k-1000s, then a primitive and heavy (but free!) Kodak digital that was held together with rubber bands, and also the occasional disposable Fuji 35mm just for fun. I still have the Pentaxes, but now use a Nikon Coolpix L4, which lacks most bells and whistles but makes me very happy. Since 10/07 I have been using a Coolpix L12, mostly for the bump to 1600 ISO. The L12 suffered another lens error after I dropped it on the marble floor of San Francisco's city hall. As of 06/09 I have replaced it with the similar L20, which seems lighter and more cheaply made. As of June 2011 I am using a Samsung HZ30W. I lve the wide angle and 15x zoom, but am having trouble finding a white balance I like, and some settings don't seem to stick if I turn the camera off and back on again.
