Hi, I'm Amy Aletheia Cahill, please call me Amy. I'm a hobbyist photographer who uses my smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy S5, as my camera. I edit my photos in PicsArt, Aviary, and GIMP.

A bit of history: first of all, I'm 47 years old. First learned photography in high school on I believe a Brownie. Back then it was ALL film and there were NO automatic settings. Everything was manual. Second, and what was most fun for me, was learning darkroom work. Color wasn't available to high school students, so everything we did was in black and white. I had one of my photos exhibited in a county art show, one that I had not only taken but developed myself. It was a satisfying achievement. And so my love of photography was born.

Many, many years later, I purchased my first Canon Powershot. Then I purchased my second Canon Powershot 3-4 years later. My ability to use cameras of whatever type has grown through the years.

I don't travel extensively. I can't take amazing pictures of bugs, for example, because I simply don't have the tools. But what I can, I do, and where I go, I record. I love nature, a good time, and try to see the beauty in everything. So that's what you'll find in my pictures.
