The Mead School is an Infant to Grade 8 independent day school. Founded in 1969, Mead offers a personalized, hands-on, experiential education that deepens and expands as students move through Mead’s robust academic, social and emotional curriculum. Mead School students build skills for life, and achieve learning that lasts.

Focused on developing the whole child, Mead integrates appropriately rigorous academics with expressive arts to create a learning environment that encourages deep learning. We challenge students to become self-aware and adopt different perspectives as they explore the reaches of their talents.

Our curriculum encourages depth of understanding and higher-order thinking as we engage students’ senses and their passion for discovery. Our teacher-student ratio of 6:1 fosters a strong relationship with each child, allowing teachers to work collaboratively with students, tapping into their unique insights and passions, guiding them to their full potential.
