He helped get me out of a slump when i was in kinda deep, and i don't think anyone should spend anymore time on flickr without 1) visiting his stream (at the very least) and 2) becoming friends with him. Wow, amazing! I'm not lying at all, the day I was going to write a testimonial for Jon, he wrote one for me first! No kidding, I was scrubbing my living room floor this morning, and thought, tonight I want to write one. He doesn't know how we met but I do! He was the only person who ever commented on one of my photos without saying some sort of creepy-man-on-the-internet thing. When I first started using Flickr, I only used it to store my photos. But then I read Jon's comment and I realized, oh, people actually can interact on here. Haha, so he really encouraged me to explore Flickr and start learning more about photography! I love Jon's photos because they are just so real. They always remind me of myself, my home, my family, and I think that's one of the best things one person can do for another. He has a real talent for capturing everyday life and how awesome all the little things (like Dunkin' Donuts and yellow basketball shorts) can be. And, beyond all that, he just seems like a good guy. Like someone you want to drive around in a car and drink ice coffees with. I hope someday we can get together for a real game of beer pong! Then we'll see what you're really made of. ;)

As he does the rounds, commenting and faving his contacts' photos, he leaves amazing little messages and brings us laughter and smiles every single day. His photographs have this amazing capacity to capture his exact mood and evoke a very real, honest empathy. He manages to produce very simple photographs on the most complex of subjects: people. With his blend of high key, black and white, or desaturated images his style is unmissable. His photostream is full of friendly banter and inspirational captures on a daily basis.
