Take a subtle mixture of seasoned and new-be travelers, a pinch of passion, a desire to support local communities and charities, some free web-services, a link to a facebook group full of Must See! countries and you end up with "The Leaping Lemur".

Over the last year the most useful source of information we have found has been other travellers; suggestions and recommendations of where to go and what to see. Yes, a book has its use as a starting point but you can’t get much more up-to-date than someone who has just been there! We're working on building up our social network of travellers and providing as much of the latest information for free on a single website. No need to trawl through those endless sites that have no information of use.

We’re not looking to replace the travel books – just make more information available for fellow travellers.

What do we get out of it? Well, hopefully the introduction or the section on Charities will explain more.

There's so much to explain about us, and we'll try on this page. But if in doubt, have a look around on our site and we hope you enjoy what you find. Or try bumping into one of us in a bar.. up a hill... on a boat... waiting for a plane...

And in the meantime we just want to share good photos to encourage to go to all those "Must See!" places
