We are The JJays. A family consisting of John, Judy and Jason and a whole lot more.

There are many better photographers than me on Flickr. This Flickr site is meant to share our collections of pictures with family, both close and extended; and with friends, both away from and at church. Since starting Flickr, this has extended to sharing my pictures with my new friends who share my interests and goals in photography.

I take and collect more pictures than most people we know. Most pictures we collect are by and for family or friends. Most of the time, I choose to remove the poorest of my pictures and post the rest, rather than only post the very best. I take pictures to capture memories. Quality is helpful and being artistic is helpful, but not always necessary.

However, I always aim to improve my photography and at times will photo shoot just for that purpose. I am open to constructive criticism and advice.

We encourage people of all ages to visit and enjoy the pictures. My collection of pictures, both on and off Flickr, are meant not to be offensive to anyone. For that reason, even my contact list is kept at a minimum, and I block comments, contacts, and favorites pointed towards sites that I consider may lead to offensive photos.

Enjoy! Find my Great Grandpa Fred sitting on a chair at the end of a long work day with a fly swatter. I have named it "No flies settle here!". The picture was taken long before I was born, but it represents a lot to me about working hard and then sitting back and relaxing.

It has become necessary for me to clarify the use of my photos. I am fairly agreeable if I do not mind the use. However, the privilege others have given me to use their image is important to me. I encourage them to allow me to use their image and to have them suggest viewing to their friends. I must retain control of my pictures. No one is to use any of my photos without specific agreement by me.
