With the youngest members in their teens and the oldest in her 50's this multigenerational performance troupe uses Japanese taiko drumming, spoken word, martial arts, dance, humor, and personal stories to build community, inspire creativity, and promote cultural pride. The Genki Spark is a fiscally sponsored project of ASPIRE (Asian Sisters Participating in Reaching Excellence) a Boston based charitable, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that seves Asian American women and girls.
