hi! my name is sara, and i am the brain (and face) behind the enso project. i am an amateur photographer who is still learning the ropes, and am excited not only about my end results but the journey along the way.

this is a weekly self-portrait challenge, likely better known as a '52'. i am far too a.d.d (look, a penny!) to photograph, upload, edit, and post a photo of myself every day for a 365, and the constraints of a daily obligation like this would make me unbearably cranky, so a weekly project will be much more relaxing and better for me to motivate myself through.

enso is the japanese word for circle, and can symbolize a great many things; the cyclical nature of life, constant change, simplicity in the shape itself. as not only a buddhist but a human being who's faced her share of life's trials, the symbol itself holds a great deal of meaning for me, hence why i chose to title my project after it. and hopefully by the end, progression and change will have worked in my favor. ;)
