Coffee Shop Photography"
Once I had time for landscapes. Currently, when time comes, it is for "Coffee Shop Photography".
My largest album is full photos I have never shot, because I felt it was inappropriate show up with a camera. But I'm happy so.
I'm a fanatic collector and user of Swiss cameras (Alpa, Tessina. Compass) and I love to use all vintage cameras.
Recently I realized how deep the digital revolution has impacted on photography as I no longer felt confortable while taking out of the bag a full size reflex camera and using it. People has become used to see photographer held iphones and small digital cameras and any vintage camera with too many levers, rings and crome attracts too much attention.
Accordingly I had to change my photographic outfit. I sually carry a small men's bag with inside a subminiature 35mm camera (Contax T or a faster to use Minolta TC-1), not too much different from a digital camera. I carry also always with me together a small digital P&S camera.
I stll prefer film, but digital is a must. I started using digital cameras in 2001 and if I compare the 4mp output of my first camera I don't notice any significant difference with today's digital cameras.
Currently I use Ipad and smart-phone for photos to post on social networks, 35mm film mainly outdoor and digital for available light and for general purpose.
Finally, the user name chosen (theendofthelaw) doesn't represent a quotation of Romans 10:4, but is rather the expression of a perception which I realized, as a jurist, being constant in human thought.
