I spent my early working career in the tropics (mainly Jamaica) as a Land Surveyor. On my return to the UK in the 70's I became an academic (teaching Civil Engineering Surveying), partly to avoid working outside in the relatively harsh British winters.
I now teach statistics, programming, networking, and database technology.
Interests
My photography focuses mainly on landscape and wildlife. I am really bad at photographing people; I can be guaranteed to make them look terrible.
I enjoy hill walking (Lakes, Scotland, N.Wales) and usually lug my camera to the tops of mountains.
I usually spend my summer vacations in Scotland and the Lake District.
