Joseph McCannon has spent twenty years immersed in the fields of art and technology. Working with organizations such as WNYC's Peabody Award winning weekly program Studio360, The Intrigue Group, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), his skills in audio and video production, as well as photography, have enabled him to produce media initiatives across a variety of platforms.

Joseph’s unique portfolio exemplifies his diversity of talent that enables him to see the big picture while carefully attending to the smallest detail. His artistic and technical agility, originality and resourcefulness make him an asset to any production.

As a freelance digital media consultant and producer he has effectively executed projects for a variety of clients. While working with The Intrigue Group (James Brown, Patrick Watson, Joaquin Cortes, and many others) Joseph had full oversight for in-house media production, digital rights management for DVD, on-line and mobile distribution. He also had the great honor of being asked to accompany James Brown on his last world tour as his photographer, capturing final images of the legendary artist's life.

As a photographer, Joseph’s unique ability to frame famous and everyday objects in unexplainable, yet spectacular perspectives quickly found its way into the fine art world. His work is represented in America and Europe by the international art firm, Soho Myriad. Recently, the newly opened Renaissance Hotel at the Potomac Yard in Arlington, Virginia selected his photography to adorn their magnificent lobby. His agent is currently in negotiation with landmark hotels in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York to showcase his work throughout their properties.

In the early years of Joseph’s career he co-wrote, arranged and produced seven albums which have since been distributed in both North and South America. In 2000, his musical collaboration with experimental filmmaker Donna Cameron, has been called “one of the finest experimental films of the decade” by MoMA. For more than two years his work was exhibited and toured by the museum and their global partners. Joseph’s creation of original music for full-length feature films, as well as television continues today. His original music has been broadcast to millions on television networks across the country. Joseph has also conceived and directed videos for indie bands such as The Fabric and promotional video for the James Brown Music Foundation.

Joseph’s love of international travel, foreign language and global culture has taken him to more than twenty countries. Always motivated by new and fresh ideas, his ability to collaborate effectively in an innovative environment is enhanced only by the joy Joseph receives from delivering a world-class project.
