The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi (CFNM) is an independent not-for-profit organization founded in 2002 with a generous grant from the Maddox Foundation. CFNM serves eleven Mississippi counties: Bolivar, Coahoma, DeSoto, Leflore, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica, and Yalobusha and is governed by a board of 22 volunteer leaders. CFNM's mission is Connecting People Who Care with Causes That Matter and its primary goal is to grow endowments in support of nonprofits, churches, and schools. CFNM currently manages 314 donor-established funds and has distributed over $48 million to support 1,000 charitable organizations and activities recommended by its donors, as well as charitable programs established by the Foundation. This year, CFNM reached $50 million in total assets, a goal they reached 4 years early!
