Ian Witlen is an internationally published freelance photographer living and working in South Florida. He specializes in photojournalism, documentary, live music, editorial and commercial photography. From the time he got his first camera at the age of six, Ian’s passion for photography has grown exponentially over the years. He started his career as a photographer’s assistant on shoots for well known fashion magazines and advertising campaigns. Some of his clients include Rolling Stone, SPIN, Billboard, AOL, Real Networks, Rhapsody, Universal Music Group, Epitaph Records, Kanine Records, Flip Video, MTV, THRASHER Magazine, Sun Sentinel (Tribune), New Times (Village Voice), Interview, HEEB Magazine, PUMA, Cirque Du Soleil and Ultra Music Festival. Ian is always available for travel.

For my personal work, I primarily shoot 4x5 and medium format (Hasselblad 500C/M). Sometimes I shoot with 4x5 pinholes and toy cameras. When shooting digital, I use the Canon 5D Mark II. Occasionally I experiment with building functioning cameras and lighting equipment, in addition to building my own ringlights for still and video.
