The first camera I remember using was a hand-me-down Kodak Brownie. Later, I used a Kodak Instamatic X-15. The first camera of my own was a Kodak Handle...Kodak's short-lived move into the instant photo business. My first true camera was a Minolta XG-9 with a 50mm f1.4 lens. I took a photography class in 1980 and became an official "photo-nerd." I've since dabbled with several different cameras...a Canon One Shot, a Minolta Talker, etc. I ventured into digital photography with a Kodak DX-3900. I wasn't sure I wanted to give up the film. After shooting it for awhile, I decided that digital photography was it. I upgraded to a Sony V-1. The photo-nerd in me wanted a bigger camera...back to the days of SLR's. So, staying loyal to Minolta, I purchased a Sony A100. (Sony had bought out Minolta's digital SLR camera production.) I since have upgraded to a Sony A700 and couldn't be happier! I like shooting all types of photos...but, center mainly on people. I like night shots and am still working on perfecting my abilities there.
