Thea Curtis
Biographic Fragments.
Thea Curtis was torn on a cold February day in 1968 in the world. Thea can be anywhere. Now she is the cool barmaid in your club, tomorrow the blonde housewife and then you meet her unexpectedly in the train to nowhere. Strange. She dreams of a life in America, loves the desert and She thinks in film scripts and mixes movie dialogues in her own thoughts.
Studying art, video & design. In the 80s, she was working with 16mm film. Since 2004 she lives for Photography (Leica X, Polaroid). And finally Thea always takes photos from Thea. She works as Creative Director of Art in a major European digital agency.
Personal Note.
The photograph transforms the subject to an object and converts the moment into a frozen frame. Before and after are mysterious unknown, however on the time axis in the 4th dimension, exists. This basic tension of photography fascinates me endlessly.
— And. Tired from the daily madness. Just another statement and we regurgitate, one more «Selfie» and we are blind. Even a gentle more of everything and we are saturated forever. —

If somebody would ask me, where in the web he could find a very unique, very intense and unbelievable artistic collection of conceptual self portraitures I would give him the link to thea siren's photostream. Never before seen something with that much impact and such a good yet straight concept. I love these selfs!
