The Antiques Diva™ is the nom de plume for Toma Clark Haines, an American expat living in Europe. As a child growing up in Oklahoma, Toma dreamed of global adventure. While other kids drew houses with picket fences, Toma drew gondolas with men in striped shirts. After studying abroad in London in university, Toma returned home on the range to marry her college sweetheart. After saying “I do” she immediately began whispering in his ear words of farway places and before long her dream became his. When a serendipitous opportunity arose, offering them a chance to live and work in Europe, they moved to Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin.
Having live in Europe over a decade, Toma has traveled and antique shopped in over 30 countries and has learned to live a life without borders. Turning her hobby into a career, Toma started her own business The Antiques Diva™ European shopping Tours. She works with 5 international guides offering 1 – 4 day antiques, vintage and home-décor lifestyle tours in 5 languages and 4 countries – France, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. For those waiting for their next shopping adventure abroad, Toma brings the flea markets to you. She has scoured the European markets is making available to you delightful finds at her online antique store “Treasures” by The Antiques Diva™.
Toma is now the In-House Antiques Expert for Bonjour Paris. She writes regularly about antiques and travel shopping and is an international public speaker. Whether she’sharing secrets from her travels, offering fabulously fun recommendations of flea markets and antique shops or simply telling you other places to stop, shop and drop some dough, The Antiques Diva™ is a lifestyle and you’re invited to come along for the ride.
