Hello,

I have been sewing and knitting since childhood, firstly taught by my mother who was a knitter extraordinaire(sadly now suffering from dementia).I had one term of sewing in school and learned how to make clothes from a paper pattern. I never looked back, making my clothes for the Saturday night disco! This was in the time before mass produced clothes made by impoverished children in far-flung places.

I only rediscovered the joys of patchwork and quilting 3 years ago but have been blown away by the absolutely fantastic changes in available fabric.So many choices, so many wonderful colours and so many wonderful, talented, mostly women out there in the blogosphere. And all those on-line shops just a click away. Heaven!
