For some reason I've learnt quite a bit on digital and now am gravitating towards more film based exercises. It's a little more difficult and a bit of a surprise when the results come back. In short, it seems to be the "slow food" movement of Flickr in these rapid instant in-your-face times. I'm enjoying it immensely.
Film Cameras
I like rangefinders and other zen-like creations. Newly discovered OM system is proving to be fun.
Olympus Trips, Canonets from the bulky 19 to the GIII, Kodak Retinas, Voigtlander Vitos, the jewel like Rollei 35, a couple of old Leicas. Depends on the mood!
I'm mainly using a QL17-L, a M3, Voigtlanders and the Trips.
Films of Choice
Fujicolor Superia X-Tra 400
Fujicolor Reala 100
Agfa Vista 400 (The old German Version)
Ilford XP2
Forgiving!
I'm a member on a few film camera groups.
Trip35 group is cool.

And for the more post modern look.......
Digital
Olympus E-500. The E-500 was rated very highly, so I went with that....dipping my toe in the SLR-for-real world.
It's a bloody good camera! Digital photos since 30th of May 2007 are mainly using the Olympus. Unfortunately the poor old thing lately is being used as a lightmeter.
Technical and geeky Stuff Dept.
I'd love to have a Mac but find I've become reliant on Windows, I think Linux sucks due to it's all round user unfriendliness.
Flickr and photographing
I love Flickr, the comments, creativity and participation is wonderful. The "new layout" unfortunately has taken a lot of that away.
I don't participate in put one up make three comment sort of groups....... sorry about about that. Oh, and "awards" and invitations to groups with bloody awful gifs will be deleted.....I find them pretty horrible from an aesthetic point of view...... which is a bit of a paradox if you're in one of these groups trying to promote good, well executed, interesting and pleasing shots.
Thanks for dropping by!

Johnno's work is a superb testimony to his keenly developed artistry with the camera. He has definitely got the gifted eye of an artist and his work is exceptional, exciting, innovative, and at times outre. And let's not leave out beautiful. One of the things I appreciate most about my friend Johnno is his talent for finding the beauty in the commonplace that is so often overlooked. He is not afraid to experiment and busts right through the envelope in his art and I like that. Johnno is a master with the camera, and he uses a variety of them all to great advantage. I look forward to seeing more of his work in the future.
