My name is Mark Scherz. Born in Switzerland in 1991, raised partially in Ohio and partially in Switzerland, I am currently studying Zoology/Evolutionary Biology at the University of Edinburgh. I am a committee member of the University of Edinburgh Photography Society, where I teach general photography and also Nature, Wildlife, Macro and more recently Travel photography.

My research interests lie in the evolutionary history of the reptiles of Madagascar. This affords me unique opportunities to spend time amongst extremeley remote people, studying unique and bizarre creatures.
