I'm a resident of Nova Scotia, Canada, who has been enjoying photography ever since I purchased my first film camera (a Kodak Instamatic which I still have) in 1975. I owned a Pentax SLR that was unfortunately stolen in 1990 and after a lengthy hiatus got back into photography after purchasing a used digital camera in 2005. That only encouraged me to enter the DSLR universe with a Nikon D80 in the Fall of 2007. That was in turn replaced with Nikon D7100 and currently a Fujifilm X-100T.

I appreciate all the comments I receive as they allow me to improve as a photographer. I don't comment as much as I'd like to do due to work/life Time constraints but if I come across an image that I find to be of merit I Like and/or Fav it.

I've learned much from my contacts and look forward to learning even more.

I do my best to look at, and try to respond to, as many of my contacts' daily posts as possible.

I've recently joined 500px under my real name (Shaun George).

In a land before time, there lived a man. A photographer, man. But not just any man. DORY man! By day a mild-mannered family physician, by other days, a mild-mannered, keen-eyed shutterbug. Where mere mortal photographers see forest, this man sees trees. He sees light, line and form. He is a composer of light. An artist of line. A sculptor of form. Witness his epic march to the sea as he battles the elements of the Canadian maritimes to capture its rugged beauty to digital film, only to throw the results of his pilgrimage to the Flickr wolves where only the toughest survive. Not since Freeman Patterson has one maritimer so captured the imagination of photographic aficionados. Dare to follow his photostream deep into the depths of one of Nova Scotia's most fertile photographic minds. Dare to view. Dare to comment. Dare to fave. You'll laugh. You'll cry. THATSANOTHERDORY! Coming to a Flickr website near you. This testimonial has been approved by the MPAA for viewing by all ages. Some restrictions may apply.
