It all started since December 2010 when I got myself a DSLR. It’s always been my passion taking pictures and enjoyed every click. Since I had very little knowledge on the technical aspect, I joined a photographic group who went around Kathmandu Valley every weekend with senior’s photographers and beginners. We exchanged and shared our knowledge and learned how to make better images.

There is nothing better feeling when your hobby pays you back. Sold 16 of my photographs to one of the established hospital of Kathmandu, run by Chaudhary Group The Norvic hospital to enhance their new building’s lobby, waiting area and few rooms.

Three of my macro photos were published in the March 2013 edition of U.S. Department of State - Bureau of Oceans, Environment and Science calendars and diaries.

Won second price in Female & Gender Minority Empowerment Photo Contest organized by US Embassy, Nepal

Contributed a photo from Chatt (Hindu festival) for an exhibition on “Festivals of Nepal” hosted by Chomolungma UNESCO Centre (CUC)

Volunteered photographing for US Embassy, Kathmandu on their various events:

•Visit of CNN Hero, Puspa Bashnet at the Embassy

•Independence Day Celebration at the Ambassador’s residence

•Assisted with videography and photography program for their Flash Mob program
