SLOGAN: "Bluebirds Across Texas ... one nestbox at a time"
Texas Bluebird Society is an all-volunteer grassroots organization helping bluebirds and other cavity-nesting birds through increasing nesting sites while sustaining and increasing their food supply (insects; berries of native plants).
The Texas Bluebird Society (TBS) was founded in 2001 by avid bluebirders from across the state who joined together to pool and spread their passion for and knowledge of Bluebirds and other native cavity-nesting birds.
The photos in the TBS library are posted with the photographers' permission of the photographers. Please contact photos@TXblues.org if you would like permission to use them, and we will forward your request to the photographers.
Photographers of all skill levels are invited to submit images – especially, photos taken in Texas. To donate a photo to the TBS Photo Gallery, please follow the instructions below. TBS cannot accept photos that you have not taken yourself.
1. Attach the photo to an email (do not embed in the email) mailed to fotos@TXbluebirds.org.
2. Include a title and caption for the photo in the body of the email.
3. If there are people in the photo, include their names (if possible).
4. Include your name, as you want to be credited, in the body of the email.
It is very important that all three components—photo, title/caption, and your name—are submitted together in one email.
Please note that TBS will not credit your photo in its PowerPoint presentations. You may embed your name in your photo with a graphics program (consult your program's help file for assistance), but if TBS sizes down your photo in its presentations, your embedded name could be unreadable.
To our photographers: We have done our best to appropriately credit and caption all photos. Please notify us if you see any errors or would like to revise any caption.
