Any Road Anywhere - Check out my travel blog for stories and photos from past and present (in English and Hungarian)

I was born in 1970 and have been photographing since I was 27. I started off with an old Russian camera (a Zenith) and have kept changing my cameras since. Unfortunately, I sold my first two but then I decided they are worth keeping and now I have a little collection of old cameras - all in working condition.

Fore many years I mainly used analogue cameras, like a Nikon F100, mostly with slide film (Fuji Provia). I scanned my best analogue photos using a Konica-Minolta film scanner. I have more than 10000 negatives and slides from those 10 years and I have only scanned and processed about one fourth of them. I had to realise that if i kept producing the slides and negatives, I would never finish scanning the old ones so first I bought a Nikon D90 and then, a few years later, a D7100.

I love travelling and walking (and cycling, cross-country skiing) in nature so many of my photos are taken on the way. As for my favourite topics, I like to photograph people in their everyday environment, details that may be invisible for the average eye and always try to take the opportunities the lights and shadows offer.

These days I put most of my energy in my new blog on traveling and places in my country (Hungary) and around the world. You can find it here: www.anyroadanywhere.com
