I'm retired now .. I was a Consulting Engineer .. Judith is my partner

I was quite a keen photographer 50 years ago .. started with a Box Brownie ..

I have had many cameras but the Russian Lubitel TLR got me started with high quality images .. I upgraded to a Yashica Mat LM 60mm square and Yashica SLR 35 mm

I was processing my own film to maintain control of the images that were produced using b&w negatives .. colour was too expensive to process myself in those days.

After digital cameras became available my interest got a boost because I regained complete control of the images via my computer ..

I am currently using my new Sony alfa dSLT a55v .. it's an SLR with a fixed translucent mirror and can do 10 shots a second while maintaining focus and exposure .. a brilliant camera .. I still use my Canon PowerShot SX10 IS but my trusty Nikon Coolpix e5000 and my Canon 300d dSLR deserve a well earned rest but they still get occasional use ..

When I bought the Sony SLT it came with two lens ..

Sony 18mm-55mm

Sony 55mm-200mm

Since then I have obtained five additional lens ..

Minolta 50mm f1.7 fixed focal length

Tamron 90mm f2.5 macro fixed focal length

Sony 18mm-200mm

Minolta 75mm-300mm

Minolta 100mm-400mm

Minolta reflex 500mm f8.0 fixed focal length

I find the 75-300 lens suitable for birds at Western Springs and the 500 is better for birds on the Manukau Harbour The 18-200 lens is a useful walk-a-round lens .. I obtained the 100-400mm lens specifically to get birds in flight .

For me, Terry is a great person...he was able to overcome all obstacles with pride and humility...he has never set grudge against others..he has a very warm heart...forgiving heart...he would look at the positive side of life instead of dwelling on the negative side...as a person, he is very organized, concrete, smart and very fast in discerning things...since the time i came to know this person,,,i would say that Terry is very loving, patient, slow to anger, passionate and a lot more...the whole page is not even enough to give him a valid description of him as a person...i may not be able to put judgement on what i will be writing here....lastly, i wanna say that Terry is worth loving, worth my time, worth caring, worthy of respect and admiration....my immeasurable love and immense respect for Terry will be for eternity
