PLEASE NOTE: My photographs are copyright. I am not being pretentious when I say this; my photos are as good or bad as the viewer perceives. The reason I restate this is that I have found 4 of my photos in a railway publication without my permission (foolishly I used a Creative Commons licence).

It started as a general site, but most hits were for train photos, so ...

I have started to add some photos from another of my passions: Walking.

I have been an avid Amateur Photographer for nearly 40 years.

Own many cameras: Canon EOS 1Ds, 50D, 20D, 10D, D30, SX130is.

The SX130is is great for when you want to travel light - walking or on the motorbike.

Main lenses: Canon 17-40 L, Canon 24-105L, Canon 70-300mm IS.

Favourites are 24-105L & 17-40L - great clarity and useful range for train photography.

Have retained a 10 year old Canon D30 with battery grip and 38-76mm lens.

Great for throwing in the car and having with me wherever I am.

Also proof that a 3mp SLR will out perform most compact cameras with 10mp or 14mp or whatever.
