I was inspired by others on flickr (and elsewhere) who have documented their haircuts. So I decided to do the same thing. I have been my own barber since 2003. My skills are limited to super-short buzzcuts and flattops. I don't cut others' hair because (a) I am concerned I would mess it up and (b) I am anal-retentive and take about 1-1/2 hours to cut my flattop.
