MJ Bridger, or Matt to those who know him, had been writing stories since he was a child and had won most school writing competitions he entered. Credited with a vibrant imagination, Matt occupied his spare time in between studying for A-Levels and University with building his own fantasy world, inspired, naturally, by such authors as JRR Tolkien, Michael Moorcock and Robert Jordan, among others.

Graduating from university in 2001 with an honours degree in Computer Studies, Matt went straight into work as a Web Developer and continued to develop his fantasy world, refining and expanding it during this time.

In 2008 Matt took the great plunge and went into working for himself, which enabled him to continue working as a Web Developer on a part-time basis, trading under the business name of Eternity Media, while finally committing himself to putting his ideas to paper and started actually writing his first book, titled Monk-son of Kunlun, the first book in the Khalduni Wars series.

Matt takes an active interest in the martial arts, having studied karate for 17 years and having briefly tried such styles as aikido, capoeira and European style sword fencing.

Matt also enjoys any excuse he can find to engage his overactive imagination through the media of roleplaying games (both electronic and otherwise) as well as being a comic-book lover and film enthusiast.

Matt currently resides in the country of his birth, Wales, Great Britain along with his wife and two highly-trained guard cats.
