I was first introduced to photography when I was 6. My father had brought me to the ferry behind our house and asked me to take a photo of him. Since then photography has been my hobby and I have owned instamatics, drop-ins, compact, point and shot, polaroids, with the latest being my canon g11 which I got in May 2010 and since then I have not been able to put the camera down. In December 2010 I got my first SLR, an Olympus e620.

 

It's much easier with a digital camera now where each shot can be reviewed immediately and numerous shots can be taken of the same scene. With negatives I usuall took only 1 shot and had to wait for days not knowing how my photo turned out. It was at times disappointing when my negatives came back with scratches or the photos had a yellow or blue cast because of the dye. Now I have my own printer and have full control over the prints and it's more enjoyable.

 

I like to take photos of sunset, sunrise, landscape and animals.

 

I've seen many beautiful and interesting photos in flickr and have learnt from them. There's so much more to learn and to share. Unfortunately I have a slow line - just 384K and it does take some time for the photos to load.
