I’m a "newbie" here. While I registered a long time ago, I never really started using it until recently. I’m hoping to find some photography-oriented discussions here, so I’d appreciate your help in getting familiar with this place. Still trying to figure out how to organize things.

For many years, I’ve been a photography enthusiast — for fun, as a hobby, and as a form of art and expressing myself and as a form of spending more time with nature. I started with Pentax DSLRs and old manual lenses, then moved through Fuji for short time, and now I shoot with Nikon Z8 and Z6III mirrorless cameras. I’m a lover of prime lenses and not particularly fond of cropping — a good frame has to be “walked into” and ideally composed right away (though it doesn’t always work out).

I photograph because I enjoy the emotions that come with pressing the shutter. I shoot whatever brings me joy, although lately nature, nordic landscapes, northern lights, and wildlife have taken the lead.

Wildlife is what gives me the most goosebumps these days, and I plan to explore it more and more… until something eats me alive ;))
