Telecentre Foundation is a worldwide network of people and organizations that believes information and communication technologies have the power to transform communities and the people who live in them. Created in 2005 as a $CAN21 million investment program, telecentre.org aims to increase the social and economic impact of tens of thousands of grassroots telecentres by supporting the organizations that work with them directly to make telecentres stronger, more sustainable and more numerous. telecentre.org was founded by Canada’s International Development Research Centre, Microsoft and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
