About TEDxDUTH

Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) spreads over four different cities of Thrace and comprises 18 departments specialized in the study of diverse scientific fields. The primary goal of the event is to bring together the students from those four cities in order to create a multidisciplinary environment, favourable for ideas to be expressed and discussed. After the accomplishment of TEDxDUTH, it will be established and organised at an annual basis in order to be hosted each time in a different city. Hence, a different committee will be given the opportunity to organise the event, thus promoting collaboration ,creating long-lasting relationships and strengthening the bonds between the students. Ultimately, local community members will be granted with the chance to exhibit thought-provoking ideas and messages.
