This is by far one of my best friends in the WHOLE world. ( and by one of I mean one of only two). From the first time I meet him we just had an amazing bond. He always knows what i'm thinking, most of the time before I can even think it. And alway lets me be me. Meeting Shane for the first time in my life gave me the strength to be myself. No bs, No avoiding or trying to cover up things I didnt like. But let me be 100% myself all the time. And opened my eyes to the amazing beauty that I have on the outside as well as with in. Shane is a beautiful person, inside and out, who can always be counted on to give you love that is unfettered with expectations and conditions. He defines unconditional love and friendship by the way he walks through the world and is proof-positive that we are the managers of our destiny and the only ones who can decide what will or will not make us truly unhappy. He is quick to see the beauty in others but sometimes struggles to see the beauty in himself. He is is his own worst critic, but is free to give encouragement to others when they are down. He is kind, caring, gentle, and expressive. Shane is easily wounded and just as easily encouraged. With gentle loving care and attention, he blossoms into a confident, strong, and loving man. He was my first love, and is one of my best friends now and forever, a permanent member of my chosen family.
